These are exciting times for us at Pure Dutch Baby. Not only are we only a few weeks away from launching the Pure Dutch Baby webshop (PureDutch-Baby.com) but we came up with the plan to launch its ‘baby brother’ first, PureDutch-Milk.com
It was after reading this quote in the South China Morning Post a few days ago:
The dairy industry is probably the sickest industry in China. Its products are sick. Its managers cheat. The indigenous dairy industry has witnessed one scandal after another, from melamine milk to leather milk and other chemical formulations that are beyond people’s imagination. The dairy industry is so sick that consumers in China have totally abandoned indigenous brands, opting for imports instead.
It was then when we realised how lucky we were that our baby nephew was being breastfed, and that we were able to bring almost 40 cans of baby formula from Holland to Hong Kong as a back up plan. It was also then that we decided to help out all those parents of newborns in China, and create an access to all available Dutch baby formula.
If you know any parents in China: tell them to be patient for a bit longer, but that a wide array of baby formula choices is coming. Not just Nutrilon and Friso, but also biological baby formula and same-value-for-less-money baby formula. And we buy it for them directly of the shelf at our local supermarket in Holland, and send it by courier to their doorstep! No warehousing, no seafreight.. So the baby formula they feed their baby with is not only the best, but only the freshest.
